Red Carpet Trend: The Thigh High Slit

 

Angelina Jolie started the trend of the exposed thigh

at the 2012 Academy Awards.

She wore this Versace dress pictured above.

Her exposed leg got a lot of hype.

Soon everyone wanted to get the Angelina look.

The look quickly took off and, 

is being seen on many other stars as well.

at the Mario Testino exibit

Glee's Lea Michele in a Valentino gown

This look gives a nice edge to a long gown, and

with Prom on the way this is a cool trend to try 

for your special night.

 

Blast From The Past: 90's Grunge

Although the 90's ended 13 years ago,

the style from the grunge days has made

its way back into our wardrobes.

This season we will be seeing a lot of pieces that

are reminiscent of the that time period.

Try out some of these staple grunge pieces to

make an ode to the trend.

Keds have been a must have shoe brand since 1916.

Their latest brand ambassador is 

none other than Taylor Swift. 

Taylor is a Keds lover and is often

spotted wearing them around town.

Taylor and Keds have collaborated to make 

the "RED" Keds, inspired by Taylor's latest 

album.

What are your favourite pairs of Keds?

Lined Lids and 60's Lashes

Beauty trend 1: Lined lids.

The lined lid look is a beauty trend that I 

have been seeing around recently. I've seen

it in Annasophia Robb's Teen Vogue photo

shoot (pictured above), as well as in the Marc

Jacobs 2013 spring fashion show.

The Marc Jacobs looks is a little more subtle

then the look above. Consisting of 

one dark line in the crease of the eyelid (pictured below).

Another eye look that is making a comeback 

is 60's inspired lashes.

Inspired by super model Twiggy, the

look consists of a full fringe of lashes 

on the top and bottom.

I for one have already been rocking

 my own version of this look.

 I love how it gives the illusion of 

having eyes like a doll.
